It seems it is quicker to build a gym than a website so here is a temporary page to hopefully answer some of the basic questions you might have about CrossFit Evolving.  I'll keep the answers pretty short and obviously won't be able to put up all the information that the final website will have but I hope this will help you find out how to get involved.

Timetable - the timetable is growing every week.  The best way to keep up with this is via Facebook as I will be listing updated timetables on a weekly basis.  Ultimately the aim is to have 2 morning WODs, 2 lunchtime WODs and 3 evening WODs with some speciality (Olympic Lifting, Gymnastics, Self-defence etc) sessions thrown in for good measure!

Trained at a CrossFit affiliate before?  Pop in for a 30 minute 'test' in session before you get started - we will get you to perform a few of the standard CrossFit exercises (Deadlift, Squat, Snatch etc) to make sure that there are no problems with your technique that could lead to safety issues.  Alternatively get one of your previous CrossFit coaches to contact us.  If they're happy to sign you off then we're happy to let you get started (we reserve the right to change our minds if we think you need more technique work).

Think you're experienced enough with your lifting technique? I appreciate that a lot of CrossFit members are accomplished athletes, sports coaches, personal trainers etc.  If you think this applies to you then contact us and organise for a 30 minute 'test' in session where we can run through the following exercises to check that you are capable of training safely in a CrossFit environment; Back Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Deadlift, Sumo-deadlift High pull, Press-up, Shoulder Press, Push Press, Pull-up variations & Cleans.

New to CrossFit style exercises? We will be organising 'Fundamentals Courses'  where you come along and spend 3 hours (over 3 different days) learning how to perform the fundamental movements of CrossFit.  These include; Back Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Deadlift, Sumo-deadlift High pull, Press-up, Shoulder Press, Push Press, Pull-up variations & Cleans.  This will be far from the end of the technique progression and learning but it will allow you to get started and get involved in the WODs.  Once you're involved in these your technique will progress over time.  The aim of these 'fundamentals courses' is to make sure that you don't do yourself or anyone else any harm in the gym.  If after 3 hours of coaching you are still unsure about certain lifting technique then we will keep coaching you until you are happy.  These courses will be held in a group setting with a maximum of 5 people per group (you will help and learn from each other over the days) and will cost £100 each (**£60 during September** numbers are limited so book early).

Can't make it to the 'fundamentals course'?  Then book in for a couple of personal coaching sessions and learn in a one-to-one environment.  This does cost slightly more but is a great way to get involved.  Personal coaching sessions at the gym cost £60/hr with most new members needing 2 hours.  Contact us to book in.

Is there a contract?  NO!!  Obviously we'd love you to stay and train for as long as possible but we appreciate that things change and people move on.  If however you decide to leave because of anything you think we've done wrong/badly then we'd rather you talk it through with us and we'll see what we can do to improve our service.

Want to talk something through or have a look around the gym?  Just contact us and we can make plans.  Alternatively just walk by, drop in and say 'hello' - please understand that if people are training then you might have to wait until a coach is free, take a seat and have a look at what you could be part of.
